Historical background
Co-Counselling is a set of skills used in a reciprocal peer counselling setting. It was developed by Harvey Jackins in the 1960's in USA. Co-Counselling International is an alternative approach developed by John Heron in the UK. CCI (UK) operates on a peer group principle with no hierarchical structures. John Talbut currently leads the CCI, UK and conducts training in the UK and abroad.
